According to the Publications Office of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, the indexation of Epidemiology and Health System Journal (EHSJ) in the Scopus citation database was approved on October 8th, 2023.

Despite a lot of scientific rigor and strict review in the scientific content and effectiveness of the articles, with the efforts of the editorial team and the university’s publications office, once again an honor was achieved for Iranian journals. Epidemiology and Health System Journal (EHSJ), which has been published in English since 2014 with the previous name of International Journal of Epidemiologic Research, after being evaluated by the Content Selection and Advisory Board (CSAB), was approved for getting indexed in Scopus citation database. Scopus, as one of the leading indexers of journals, started its activity in 2004 as a subsidiary of Elsevier Publishing. The importance of Scopus is in indexing journals from all principles (engineering, medicine, social sciences, etc.) and expressing accurate scientometric statistics such as H-index and Cite Factor.

Dr. Elham Raeisi, the honorable Vice-chancellor of Research and Technology of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, stated: Epidemiology and Health System Journal, with more than 700 citations in the Google Scholar search engine, could meet the criteria of Scopus international citation database.

This success, which is another valuable achievement by the editorial team and the hardworking staff of the Publications Office of Shahrekord University of Medical Sciences, is congratulated to all the professors, students, and the university’s community. This journal is always ready to accept valuable articles by researchers and so by increasing the scientific quality of the articles, we wish to see an increase in the effectiveness of science.
